Counselling or psychotherapy uses the deep, emotional connection between client and counsellor to explore the issues they have come to counselling with and develop a safe, comfortable environment in which to do so.
Short term counselling can be effective for a number of issues including specific phobias, social anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorders and relationship concerns.
Long term counselling is more appropriate to clients with histories of trauma, relationship troubles, self-esteem and confidence issues and more severe depression.
Counselling sessions are typically weekly and last for 50 minutes. You are not tied in to a specific number of sessions and you will review this with your counsellor as time progresses. Some clients may require more than one session per week which can be discussed at the initial consultation.

Sessions are available online or on the phone across the UK, or in person from our office in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.
